Composition

active substances: 1 ml of the drug contains fir oil (oleum Abies) - 67.60 mg; peppermint oil (oleum Menthae piperitae) – 16.90 mg; wild carrot fruit extract liquid (1:1) (extractum fructuum Dauci sativi fluidum) (extractant 96% ethanol) – 194.35 mg; hop cones liquid extract (1:1) (extractum fructuum Strobili lupuli fluidum) (extractant 96% ethanol) – 278.80 mg; motherwort liquid extract (1:1) (extractum herbae Origani fluidum) (extractant 96% ethanol) – 192.95 mg;

excipients: disodium edetate, castor oil.

The main physical and chemical properties: liquid from greenish-brown to brown in color, with a characteristic smell of mint.

Pharmacological properties

Combined preparation of plant origin. Ingredients of the drug Urolesan® reduce inflammatory phenomena in the urinary tract and kidneys, promote increased blood circulation in the kidneys and liver, have a diuretic, antibacterial, choleretic effect, form a protective colloid in the urine and normalize the tone of the smooth muscles of the upper urinary tract and gall bladder. Urolesan® increases the release of urea and chlorides, promotes the removal of small stones and sand from the bladder and kidneys.

The drug is well absorbed, its effect begins after 20-30 minutes and lasts 4-5 hours. The maximum effect occurs after 1-2 hours. Excreted through the digestive tract and kidneys.

Indication

Acute and chronic infections of the urinary tract and kidneys (cystitis and pyelonephritis); urolithiasis and uric acid diathesis (prevention of the formation of calculi after their removal); chronic cholecystitis (including calculous), biliary tract dyskinesia, gallstone disease.

Contraindication

• Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug;

• gastritis, peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum;

• children with a history of convulsions (febrile or not).

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction

Not studied.

Features of use

Do not use the drug if the diameter of concretions exceeds 3 mm.

Use with caution in patients with bronchial asthma due to the risk of bronchospasm.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The use of the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been studied.

The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms. Not studied.

Method of application and dosage

Take the drug orally before meals.

Recommended dose for adults: 8-10 drops (on sugar, for patients with diabetes - on bread) 3 times a day. With renal and hepatic colic, a single dose is 15-20 drops. Duration of reception is from 5 to 7 days, in chronic conditions from 7 days to 1 month.

Recommended dose for children 7-14 years old: 5-6 drops (on sugar, for patients with diabetes - on bread) 3 times a day.

The single dose, frequency and duration of treatment are determined individually by the doctor.

Children. If necessary, it is recommended to use Urolesan for children under 7 years of age® syrup.

Overdose

In case of overdose, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness are possible.

Treatment: intensive warm drinking, calmness, activated charcoal, atropine sulfate (0.0005-0.001 g).

Side effects

Usually Urolesan® well tolerated. When using the drug, the following are possible:

from the gastrointestinal tract: dyspeptic disorders (including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain);

from the side of the immune system: allergic reactions, including itching, facial redness, skin rashes, urticaria, angioedema (burning sensation in the mouth, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue), anaphylactic shock;

from the central and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, general weakness, headache, ataxia, muscle tremors;

from the cardiovascular system: arterial hypotension, hypertension, bradycardia.

Expiration date

3 years.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 °C.

Keep out of the reach of children.
